What Poros Ops reads
- Alarm panels: disarm, arm and power-trouble events, and the users on each panel
- Thermostats: temperatures and thermostat schedules
- Cameras (Loss Prevention add-on): recorded video, only to find the clip for a specific event
What it checks
- Store open and close watch. Did each store open on time, confirmed by time clock, alarm or camera. See how to know every store opened on time.
- Alarm arming check. Every store armed after close.
- Power outage detection. A store without power has its store checks muted until power is back, so nobody is chased about a dark building.
- Thermostat watch. Temperatures for every store, and a flag when a store drifts off its schedule.
- Camera evidence (Loss Prevention add-on). Finds the clip for a flagged punch or cash variance and hands it to a person to review. It needs UniFi cameras and a UniFi recorder. There is no facial recognition and no biometric data of any kind.
The full list is on the automations page.
What it can write, and only when you say so
- Alarm codes. A code added for a new hire and removed when someone leaves, only inside the onboarding and separation steps you switch on.
- Thermostats. Nothing on a thermostat changes unless you switch that on.
- Cameras. Nothing. It finds clips; a person always reviews them.
Nothing on this list writes until you switch it on, and each one climbs the same ladder on its own:
- Shadow. It runs on its real schedule and logs what it would have done. Nothing is sent and nothing changes.
- Ask-first. It proposes each change with the evidence. A person approves, edits or rejects it.
- Autonomous. Only where you decide it has earned it, and only inside limits you set. Each automation has its own off switch, and it can be stepped back down at any time.
"Done" means Poros Ops re-read the panel or the thermostat and saw the new value. No read-back, no success message. Every write is logged: who asked, what changed, and what the system read back. More on the ladder in Shadow mode: how to trust automation with your stores.
How access works
- Agreement first. We ask for access only after a written agreement is signed.
- Your account, your user. You create a read-only user for Poros Ops inside your own alarm, thermostat and camera accounts. You own that user and can remove it at any time.
- Writes are approved one at a time. If you later switch on an automation that writes, the access it needs is set up with you then, for that automation only. Approving one does not approve the rest.
- Never passwords by email. Don't send passwords or account numbers through email or our forms. Access is set up with you, inside your account.
